Recently, I have been trying to focus on the little things that make me happy in life. The things that do not take much effort yet bring a smile to my face. When we are down or unhappy with ourselves, we tend to forget the little things in life. So, I decided to create a list of activities that help lift my mood.
Taking care of my Plants
I have always liked having plants in my room. They always make the room feel brighter. However, I used to kill succulents, which are very hard to kill. But with the pandemic, I bought some plants and started to learn how to take care of them properly. The process of watering each of my plants and watching them grow is very therapeutic to me
Doing my makeup
I am not that good at makeup, but that’s not the point. I enjoy sitting down and trying new products. Doing my makeup allows me to be distracted from my other problems and drift into my own world. It’s very calming and always puts me in a better mood.
Cleaning my room
This one’s odd. Most people find cleaning to be a chore, and I do too at times. But there is just something about cleaning your room versus the rest of the house. I like to turn on my music, light a candle, zone out, and clean. My room is my own space, and I want it to be a place where I feel comfortable.
Iced Coffee
Good, iced coffee is going to lift my mood instantly. It’s probably the caffeine, but who cares. I love trying to experiment with different iced coffee recipes found online or at various coffee shops. (Support local coffee shops)
Discovering New Music
I work at a job that allows me to listen to my music throughout the day. However, when you have that ability, the same music can get real dull real fast. Finding and listening to new playlists or artists is my favorite thing. There is just something about discovering a new song that gives me instant serotonin. If you have any artist or song recommendations, I am all ears. I am open to anything!
As a society, we are always on the go, and it’s easy for us to forget the little things in life. We sometimes put too much pressure on being happy. I know this list isn’t anything special or costly. But sometimes, it’s the simple things that truly make us happy.

Iced coffee = happy life! I’m literally the biggest grump in the morning till I get my iced coffee.
It’s funny but rediscovering old music makes me really happy like I’m this happy high that day.

Yep yep, I can get on board with iced coffee! Recently, I went to Costco on my own right when it opened – it was thrilling lol I enjoyed that! Hitting publish on my blog post ever Tuesday night scheduled for the next morning! Haha 😁😊

One of the things I miss since this pandemic… No more samples 😦 my husband and I used to save our stomachs for the Costco samples LOL

Makeup and cleaning is so therapeutic!!! Even i do makeup to distract myself from all the problems and i always try to create different looks and that makes me happiest.. i also enjoy cleaning my room, organise it according to myself.
