Someway, somehow, it’s the end of July. This past month flew by, and the fact that we’re about to head into August blows my mind. But, I am not ready to start thinking about the colder months just yet. So, here are some of my favorite beauty products that have been helping me get through the summer heat this month.
Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner by Glow Recipe
I am obsessed with this product. The right exfoliant has always been hard to find. Whenever I have tried to use other exfoliants in the past, my skin would go through the purging stage and never come out of the said stage. With this product, my skin did not do that. I use the exfoliant in the morning every other day. It doesn’t dry out my skin. Instead, it leaves a nice dewy look. It’s gentle on the skin, and while it’s kind of pricey, it lasts a long time.
Rich Bitch by Freck Beauty

I had never even heard of this brand until about a month ago. I purchased on a whim, and what sold me was the name of the product. But I love it. The product’s two key factors are Vitamin C and Cactus. I have wanted to work Vitamin C into my routine for a while, but most Vitamin C serums tend to break me out. This moisturizer, though, is something I will be purchasing again and again. It leaves the skin feeling so soft. It’s not too thick, doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy, and works well under makeup.
Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer by Glow Recipe
I think Glow Recipe is becoming one of my favorite brands of 2021. I pair this moisturizer with the Watermelon Toner, and my skin has achieved the ultimate dewy look without looking like sweat. It’s perfect for the summer heat as it’s very lightweight and absorbs into the skin fast. Sometimes I find it hard to put on sunscreen after a moisturizer because all of the products make my face feel heavy, but this moisturizer does not do that. It works well with every sunscreen I have tried, and while the bottle looks small, a little goes a long way.
Super Amino Gel Cleanser by Summer Fridays
Another product bought on a whim, but money well spent. Cleansers are usually products that I never repurchase, mostly because I am a skincare junkie. However, I was running out of my cleanser on vacation and needed a quick solution. And once again, I am in love. This cleanser is a perfect morning cleanser, and it makes my skin feel super clean, refreshed, and hydrated.
Salicylic Acid Cleanser by The Inkey List
The Inkey List can never do me wrong. When I went to the doctor a couple of months back, I was having a bad acne flare-up. They recommended I dry a product with Salicylic Acid as the main ingredient. Did I listen at first? No. Why? I don’t know. And while my acne has been slowly getting better, I believe these past couple of weeks this product sped the process up. It’s a gentle cleanser and never made my skin go through the purging stage. I recommend starting with the cleanser a couple of nights a week and only using it at night. It’s a cleanser I will be repurchasing. Plus, you can never go wrong with The Inkey List pricing.
I know four out of five of these products were moisturizers and cleansers, but I have been trying to give my skin a breather these past couple of months. I think I got carried away with different products in the past, and my skin was not happy with me. However, these products have genuinely helped my skin and have become staples in my routine.
